Welcome!
Welcome to the website of The Playtime! Project - for everybody who wants to put play back into the school
playground!
The Playtime! Project was set up by Common Threads as a result of our extensive work in introducing playwork
practice to lunchtime supervisors as a way of increasing the amount of play that takes place on school playgrounds.
We have worked with primary schools across England and our work has also been featured in the Canadian documentary
'Lost Adventures of Childhood' (also shown in the UK on Teacher's TV). We have also worked with many local
authorities to train and support local support workers in introducing The Playtime! Project in their schools.
Please use the buttons above to find out more about what the Playtime! Project is all about and how and why
we do it, and use the buttons on the left-hand side of this page to see how you can use the experience and
expertise we've developed to help you to improve school playtime in your area.
And if you can't find what you're looking for - or have other ideas about how we can help - then please contact us - we always like new ideas and challenges!
